Cool silver dawn light falls across a shallow evaporation pond where dark, wet soil forms a tractor track along the edge. A worker stands knee-deep in brine, using a long-handled rake to gather white salt crystals from the water's surface. The ground beside the track is churned mud, slick with recent rain, reflecting the pale sky. A soft haze rests over the water, indicating humid air after rain. The worker wears simple, practical clothing suited for the labor, their movements focused and rhythmic. White salt piles form in neat rows against the dark earth, creating a stark contrast. The rake handle extends into the frame, its wood grain visible against the metallic sheen of the crystals.
