A rusted iron gate handle protrudes from a weathered wooden fence post near the San Diego waterfront, its surface slick with fresh rainwater. Droplets rest on the curved metal loop, reflecting the muted gray tones of the overcast sky and the wet pavement below. The surrounding wood shows deep grain textures softened by moisture, while a faint sheen of water traces the path down the post. One drop falls from the handle, merging with the puddle forming at the base of the fence.
