Rust Blooming Orange on Iron Bolt in Changsha

Vivid orange rust spreads across the hexagonal head of a steel bolt, its granular texture against the smooth, wet green of the moss beneath. The bolt rests centrally, filling the view, surrounded by a carpet of damp, emerald moss that rests on the dark floor. Pale walls reflect the flat, indirect noon light, casting soft, warm shadows around the metal's edges. Dew droplets rest on the moss blades, catching the light without reflecting a clear image. The corrosion eats into the metal, creating a rough, pitted surface that glows against the cool, damp greens. one drop of water sits on the rusted thread, catching the ambient glow before sliding slowly down the side.
