Deep shadows cloak a game trail in Cuba while a rhinoceros charges through waist-high monsoon grass. A sharp rim of pale dawn light outlines the animal's thick, grey hide, separating it from the dark vegetation. Green blades of grass blur into soft streaks in the foreground, showing the shallow depth of field. The massive form moves with heavy intent, muscles rippling under wet skin that reflects the faint morning glow. Surrounding foliage remains still in the clear air, creating a moment of fragile ecological quiet before the creature disappears into the deep shade. One dewdrop clings to a bent grass stalk at the very edge of the frame.
