Warm golden hour light falls through steady rain to illuminate a dense cushion of reindeer moss on the tundra near Moundou. The plant forms a textured, pale green mound dotted with glistening water droplets that catch the low sun. Individual branches of the lichen stand upright, creating a soft, spongy surface against the dark, wet earth. Rain streaks blur the background into a smooth wash of muted greens and browns, isolating the moss as the sharp focal point. The moisture saturates the air, making the pale lichen glow against the darker, rain-soaked ground. Tiny rivulets of water rest on the tips of the moss branches, highlighting their delicate structure before dripping back onto the soil.
