A towering multi-headed effigy of Ravana stands engulfed in roaring orange flames within a shrine courtyard near Ningbo. Warm candlelight spills from rows of hanging paper lanterns, casting flickering amber reflections on the dark autumn night air. The smoke rises in thick, gray plumes against the clear sky, while the burning structure glows with fierce intensity. Foreground elements blur into soft, out-of-focus orbs of light, framing the central pyre. Textured paper and fabric on the effigy curl and blacken as the fire consumes them. Shadows stretch long across the stone ground, illuminated by the intermittent dance of the flames.
