Rain Drips from Underpass in Varkala Wet Season

Green leaves hang low above a concrete underpass, filtering midday light into shifting patches of gray and silver. Rainwater falls in steady, clear threads from the rough, stained ceiling of the elevated structure. The drops strike a cracked, wet surface below, creating small, expanding ripples in the puddles that collect in the concrete depressions. The air appears heavy with moisture, visible as a soft haze against the dark metal beams overhead. Dappled shadows dance across the damp ground, against the deep gray of the wet stone. One drop hangs suspended at the edge of a jagged crack before falling into the water. The scene is defined by the texture of the soaked concrete and the rhythmic descent of water.
