Rain slicks the corrugated metal roof of a converted railway engine shed, its glass panels glowing softly against the gray sky. Mist rests on the heavy steel framework near a towering blast furnace in Tribeca, New York. The early summer drizzle coats the industrial surfaces in a uniform sheen, reflecting the muted dawn light.
