Low-hanging monsoon clouds weigh heavily over the barricaded protest route, casting a cool, gray tone across the wet pavement. Water beads on the stone surfaces, reflecting the faint ambient glow of the pre-dawn sky. The raised phones form a jagged line against the dark columns, their screens glowing with a soft, artificial white light. Wet asphalt stretches back toward the heavy iron barriers, glistening under the minimal natural illumination.
