Government floodlights cut through the blue hour air, illuminating a speaker standing on stone courthouse steps in Bailundo. The steps are slick with monsoon rain, reflecting the harsh white beams. Above the speaker, thick silver water defies gravity, flowing upward along the stone slope toward the building's peak. The liquid pools at the highest ledge, shimmering against the darkening sky. Microphones stand upright on the podium, catching the light. Rain droplets hang suspended in the humid air, catching the glow. The wet pavement mirrors the upward stream, creating a double image of the impossible flow. one drop of water rests on the microphone stand, glowing white against the dark metal.
