A cluster of gray pigeons rests on the rough, sun-baked surface of a weathered stone parapet in Delhi. The warm late afternoon light casts long, sharp shadows across their iridescent neck feathers and dusty wings. One bird stretches its neck to peck at a scattered piece of dry bread near the edge. The background blurs into the deep blue of the twilight sky above the city rooftops.
