Green Blue Panther Chameleon on Horizontal Tree in in West Bengal

Green Blue Panther Chameleon on Horizontal Tree

by Kane Walter

First light cuts through a cool season fog, illuminating a vivid green and blue panther chameleon perched on a branch that defies gravity. The tree grows horizontally outward from a textured brick wall, its leaves lush and fully formed despite the impossible orientation. Low sunlight strikes the horizon haze, casting long, soft shadows across the mossy surface of the wall and the chameleon's scaly skin. The reptile remains perfectly still, its large eye fixed forward with predatory intent. Dew rests on the underside of the horizontal leaves, catching the pale morning glow. The sharp contrast between the organic curve of the branches and the rigid vertical lines of the brickwork anchors the surreal element in a grounded reality.
