Olive Nets Spread Under Twisted Trunks in Mumbai Rain

Warm harvest light falls through the canopy of twisted olive trunks, illuminating dark soil beside a tractor track. Large nets stretch wide across the grove, their synthetic fibers glistening under a light drizzle. The cool season air settles over the scene as water beads on the mesh and drips from the gnarled branches. Earthy browns of the wet ground contrast with the muted greens of the leaves and the gray sheen of the rain-soaked fabric. Each net hangs taut between the ancient trees, creating a geometric layer over the organic shapes of the grove. Droplets gather on the lower edges of the nets before falling onto the dark, compacted earth below.
