Olive Grove Nets Under Blue Hour Sky

Steel-blue ambient light washes over an olive grove where protective nets stretch wide beneath twisted, ancient trunks. The ground is darkened earth with deep ruts filled by recent rain, reflecting the fading sky. Beside the trees, stacked hay bales form a rough barrier against the damp soil. Early spring leaves cling sparsely to the branches, appearing soft against the rigid netting. Leading lines from the tree rows guide the gaze toward the horizon where the last light dissolves into the gray. The texture of the wet mud contrasts with the dry, fibrous hay and the smooth, synthetic mesh of the nets. A small puddle in a rut mirrors the pale blue above.
