Okapi Browsing Night Ridge Clearing

Deep starlight illuminates a solitary okapi standing on a windswept ridge near Kingston. The animal’s striped hindquarters contrast against the cool, damp earth of the clearing. Humid air hangs low over the ground, visible as a faint, ghostly glow reflecting off the wet grass. Tall, dark trees frame the background, their leaves heavy with recent rain. The okapi lowers its head to browse on low shrubs, its large ears swiveling slightly. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the ridge, defined by the pale, scattered starlight. The texture of the wet moss rests on the base of the nearest sapling, glistening under the dim illumination.
