Mural Behind Chairs in Batna Courridor

Cool blue twilight washes the interior of a Batna courthouse corridor, where rows of empty chairs face a large community center mural painted on the far wall. Dust particles drift through narrow shafts of light cutting across the floor, catching the faint glow of city lights beginning to pulse outside unseen windows. The mural features bold geometric patterns in earthy ochres and deep reds, against the cool gray concrete surroundings. Wooden chair backs align in strict perspective, leading toward the painted narrative of local unity. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the tiled floor, at the base of the space in quiet anticipation. A final beam of light illuminates a single dust mote hovering just above the center chair.
