Melbourne Courthouse Waiting Area Winter Light

Pale winter sunlight floods the high windows of a Melbourne community center hall, casting long shadows across rows of wooden chairs in the civic waiting area. The polished floor reflects the soft glow, creating a shimmering path that stretches toward the back wall. Through a large window, wet pavement glistens under streetlamps as city lights begin to glow against the cool blue evening sky. Rain from the monsoon season coats the glass, blurring the view of the street outside. The clear day allows natural light to mix with the artificial orange hues spilling in from the lamps. Wood grain textures stand out beside the smooth, wet surfaces of the floor. Reflections of the window frame rest on the chair legs.
