Chongqing Community Forum Mural and Chairs

Bright daylight floods the community center hall in Chongqing, illuminating a large mural painted across the back wall. Rows of empty plastic chairs face the artwork, their red and blue seats creating a rhythmic pattern against the concrete floor. Condensation beads densely on the large glass windows to the right, blurring the view of the street outside while reflecting the interior light. The mural features bold red and yellow characters alongside illustrations of local residents and traditional architecture, anchoring the space in its specific cultural context. Shadows from the overhead fixtures stretch across the floorboards, meeting the cool sheen of the wet glass. one drop of water slides slowly down the window pane, tracing a clear path through the condensation.
