Above, a hard star field punctuates the darkness, with one vivid point of light burning brighter than the rest. Thin cloud gaps allow faint moonlight to filter through, casting a pale glow on the churning surf. The water churns with white foam that catches the dim illumination, creating a textured contrast against the deep shadows. The low angle emphasizes the height of the ridge and the vastness of the starry expanse above. One bright star hangs low, reflecting slightly on the wet, frothy edge of the wave.
