Midnight Shadow on Abandoned Rail Bridge Over Gorge

Deep shadow fills the roofless nave where a decaying rail bridge spans a dark gorge near Kanpur. Missing wooden ties expose jagged metal rails running into the distance. A sharp rim light cuts along the upper edges of the broken structure, defining its skeletal form against the night sky. Late summer haze lingers in the lower depths of the gorge, softening the rock faces. Wind whips loose debris across the rusted iron beams, creating a blur of motion near the foreground. Layers of depth recede as the bridge stretches toward the far cliff face, where faint starlight touches the highest peaks. A loose bolt rests on a support beam at the edge, caught in the silver edge of the rim light.
