Amber streetlight pools illuminate wet concrete steps as commuters ascend from a dark underpass into the grey midnight air of Zagreb. Rain-slicked asphalt reflects the glowing lamps, creating distorted orange streaks along the ground. To the right, a glass bus shelter steams up, its surface fogged with condensation that blurs the interior seating. Figures move upward in muted tones, their jackets damp and heavy against the humid midsummer night. Overcast clouds hang low, diffusing the light into a flat, grey sheet that softens the shadows. The wet pavement glistens with a deep, oily sheen, catching the edge of a single shadow cast by a lamppost. A puddle near the stair base mirrors the flickering amber glow.
