Wet Underpass Pavement in Erdenet Sunset Silhouette

Dark, saturated asphalt fills the foreground, reflecting the heavy gray of midsummer overcast skies. The wet surface creates a mirror for the fading horizon light, turning the ground into a sheet of dull silver and charcoal. In the distance, the arched concrete ribs of the underpass frame a dark opening where the sky remains a lighter band of twilight. Faint, blurred shapes of commuters appear as deep black silhouettes moving along the far edge of the walkway. Their forms lack detail, merging with the shadowed architecture of the metro entrance. Puddles on the uneven pavement catch the last ambient glow, highlighting the rough texture of the concrete and the scattered debris of a busy evening. One reflection of a distant streetlamp shivers on a small puddle near the bottom right corner.
