Melting Steppe Horizon Wave Cut Shoreline Larissa
Golden late-afternoon light strikes a vast, wave-cut shoreline near Larissa where the grassy steppe stretches endlessly to a distant horizon. Early autumn turns the tall grasses into shades of amber and dried ochre. A thin layer of light fog rests on the water's edge, softening the hard coastal glare. The impossible element sits starkly against the natural terrain: a section of the rigid, grassy plain appears to have liquefied into thick, waxy pools that drip slowly toward the wet sand. The liquid grass maintains its green and brown hues while losing its structural integrity, forming glossy, undulating mounds that reflect the bright sky. The shoreline rocks remain sharp and dry, against the fluid, melting earth. A final pool of amber grass settles into a shallow depression near a jagged rock, its surface rippling without wind.
