Coastal Dune Sea Grass Floodplain Reflections Dawn

Soft overcast light washes over a coastal dune in early spring California, where sea grasses emerge from wet, dark soil. A shallow floodplain spreads across the foreground, holding a sheet of still water that mirrors the pale sky and the swaying blades of grass. The horizon line aligns perfectly with its reflection, creating a symmetrical composition of green and gray tones. Geologic textures of sand and mud define the dune slopes, while the clear sky above remains unbroken by clouds. The water surface shows the subtle vertical lines of the grass, doubling their presence in the lower half of the view. A thin rim of sand along the water's edge breaks the symmetry with a rough, granular texture.
