Late Summer Marsh Rain Shadow Kharkiv

Tropical bright light floods the reed marsh near Kharkiv in late afternoon, slicing through the clearing rain. Golden-green stalks of tall reeds stand dense and rigid, their surfaces shimmering with suspended sea spray that hangs in the air like fine dust. The foreground reveals wet, dark earth where the water has receded, against the pale, sun-bleached tips of the grasses further back. A distinct shadow line cuts across the lower third of the frame, marking the edge where the storm passed. The reeds lean slightly, their textures sharp against the hazy, luminous sky. At the very bottom edge, a single droplet clings to a bent blade, reflecting the intense afternoon sun.
