Kaleidoscope of Metro Maps and Ticket Stubs in Xochimilco Atrium

Copper-toned light from the pre-dusk window spills across a vaulted stone atrium near Xochimilco, illuminating a geometric kaleidoscope constructed from folded Mexico City metro maps and paper ticket stubs. The paper surfaces display faded blue, yellow, and red transit lines alongside perforated edges and handwritten dates. Warm candlelight from a nearby fixture casts a soft, flickering glow that highlights the texture of the aged paper and the crisp creases of the folds. Rain streaks blur the glass panes in the background, framing the object against the darkening exterior. The arrangement creates a playful visual ambiguity where the linear transit routes curve into abstract patterns. One shadow from a paper edge falls sharply onto the rough stone floor beneath the structure.
