Copper Light Through Chain Curtain Atrium

by Drew Moss

Honey-colored window light floods a vaulted atrium in Lubango, filtering through a dense curtain of metal chains suspended in the doorway. The rain season softens the exterior glow, casting a warm copper tone across the interior space. Each chain reflects the light, creating a rhythmic pattern of geometric shapes that dance across the polished floor. Muted reflections stretch along the ground, mirroring the vertical lines of the curtain and doubling the visual depth. the mix of light and metal produces a shimmering texture where the chains hang in precise rows. One link near the bottom catches the light, glowing brighter than the rest against the darker stone floor.
