Kaleidoscope Eye View in Piura Train Terminal

Honey-colored afternoon light floods the high arched windows of the restored Piura train terminal, illuminating dust motes suspended in the warm air. A hand holds a kaleidoscope firmly against an eye, its spinning interior fracturing the golden beam into a chaotic burst of reds, blues, and yellows that overlap on the lens surface. The diagonal line of the instrument cuts across the frame, creating visual tension against the static, weathered brick walls and the heavy iron trusses of the ceiling. Soft reflections shimmer on the polished metal ticket counter nearby, mirroring the vibrant, swirling geometry. The turn of seasons is visible in the slightly bare branches of a potted plant near the window, casting long, sharp shadows across the worn stone floor.
