Iridescent Clouds Over Nanning Water

Rainbow shimmering bands of cloud stretch horizontally across the bright midday sky above Nanning. Cool season air hangs heavy as a brief sun shower falls, creating a wet mirror on the dark water below. The cloud edges glow with violet, green, and soft orange refraction while their undersides remain deep grey silhouettes against the intense overhead light. Raindrops blur the water surface, distorting the reflected colors into liquid streaks of silver and pearl. A thin layer of mist clings low over the river, softening the horizon line where the wet earth meets the sky. at the edge is a single bright green arc curving sharply against the dark water edge.
