Indigo Lighthouse on Rocky Stack in Shenzhen

Cool blue twilight washes the jagged rock stack where a solitary lighthouse stands against a heavy, overcast sky. The structure rises from dark, wet stone, its white walls contrasting sharply with the indigo atmosphere of the monsoon season. Waves crash violently at the base, sending white foam up the slick, uneven surfaces of the rocks. To the right, the weathered texture of a fortress wall runs along the edge, its wind-scoured surface bearing the marks of constant exposure to salt and rain. Heavy clouds press low, obscuring the horizon and merging with the churning sea. A thin beam of warm light cuts through the gloom, illuminating the mist rising from the water. The beam ends abruptly on a wet rock ledge, leaving the rest of the stack in deep shadow.
