Hong Kong Dim Sum Tray and Tea
Cool afternoon light streams from a north-facing window, casting soft, diffuse highlights across a square bamboo steamer resting on a polished counter. Inside the woven tray, three plump, translucent dumplings sit beside a small ceramic cup of dark tea. The bamboo weave shows natural variations in tan and brown, its texture rough against the smooth, dark surface below. Shadows fall gently to the right, defining the curve of the cup and the pleated folds of the dumpling wrappers. A faint reflection of the window frame glimmers on the wet counter edge. The arrangement feels deliberate and quiet, anchored by the grain of the wood and the steam rising faintly from the hot food.
