Pale steam drifts lazily from the gaps between the tiers, dissolving into the quiet shadows pooling against the room's walls. The blanket beneath displays geometric motifs in muted earth tones, against the warm, translucent glow reflecting off the moist bamboo surfaces. Each steamer lid sits slightly askew, revealing glimpses of white dumplings wrapped in translucent skins. The light creates sharp, colorful reflections on the damp wood grain, showing the immediate warmth of the food against the cool, dry air of the evening.
