Heritage Steam Locomotive at Kandahar Sunset
Rich amber light floods the open station shed, illuminating the heavy iron curves of a heritage steam locomotive standing idle. Late autumn air leaves the surrounding earth bare and dusty, with dry straw scattered across the gravel tracks. The locomotive's black boiler reflects the low sun, while rust patches on the side tanks catch the golden glow. Behind the engine, the shed's wooden beams stretch high against a cloudless sky, framing the machine in a wide panoramic view. Dust motes hover in the sunbeams that cut through the open side of the structure. at the edge is the sharp, dark shadow of the driving wheel falling across the gravel, marking the exact angle of the setting sun.
