Green Lit Service Tunnel Junction Coastal Barrier in beside a storm surge barrier in Méagui

Green Lit Service Tunnel Junction Coastal Barrier

by Kirk Hewitt

Hard coastal glare illuminates a concrete service tunnel junction situated beside a massive storm surge barrier in Méagui. Overhead exit signs cast an unnatural green glow that reflects off wet pavement and damp cable conduits. Dramatic storm clouds loom high above, their dark undersides against the bright midday sky. The concrete surfaces show signs of weathering and salt accumulation typical of the wet season. Thick bundles of cables run along the walls, glowing faintly where the green light hits them. The structure feels imposing and functional, designed for civic protection against rising waters. A puddle near the base of the wall mirrors the overhead green signage and the heavy cloud cover above.
