Graduation Cap and Koi in Acapulco Drizzle

A black mortarboard rests atop folded white ceremony programs on a wet concrete walkway in Acapulco de Juárez. Cool season rain leaves small droplets scattered across the paper and fabric. Overhead, a massive koi fish with orange and white scales hangs suspended in the gray late afternoon sky, appearing as a living parade balloon. Leading lines of the walkway guide the gaze from the cap toward the fish. The ground reflects the soft skylight and the underside of the giant fish. Rain streaks blur the edges of the concrete, while the fish's fins cast a faint, elongated shadow on the pavement below. The wet stone glistens under the gentle contrast of the drizzle.
