Gobi Desert Courthouse Ruin at Blue Hour in along a vine-choked corridor in the Gobi Desert

Gobi Desert Courthouse Ruin at Blue Hour

by Summer Berg

Reflected blue light washes over the crumbling brick walls of a courthouse annex swallowed by tangled brambles. The Gobi Desert stretches into the distance under dramatic, heavy clouds, their undersides glowing with the last remnants of twilight. Thick vines coil around broken window frames, their leaves turning brittle yellow and brown in early autumn. A shallow pool of water in the foreground mirrors the darkening sky, casting a cool, rippled reflection onto the weathered stone floor. Moss patches rest on the damp base of the columns, against the dry, dusty earth. The structure stands divided by the horizon line, with the heavy sky occupying the upper third and the overgrown ruins anchoring the lower section.
