Glowing Alpine Tarns Blue Hour Zermatt

Autumn hues paint the layered foothills below Zermatt as the last blue light of evening settles over the ridge. Three alpine tarns connect via narrow cascades that tumble between dark stones. The water surfaces remain perfectly still, reflecting the clear sky and the distant town glow on the horizon. At the center of the middle pool, a smooth grey boulder emits a soft, steady white light from within its surface, illuminating the immediate water ripples without any external source. This internal luminescence casts faint reflections across the surrounding moss and granite. The light edge meets the darkening water, creating a sharp boundary where the impossible glow fades into the natural twilight. No shadows fall from the stone, yet the water around it shimmers with an unearthly brightness.
