Gargoyle Silhouette Against Lightning Sky in Cathedral

Pale, diffuse light fills the interior space, bouncing softly off the smooth, light-colored walls to create a quiet, shadowed environment. In the center of the frame, a dark stone gargoyle rests atop a rough-hewn altar, its features sharp against the bright, fractured sky visible through the high window. Jagged bolts of lightning split the gray clouds outside, casting brief, stark contrasts that highlight the texture of the ancient stone. The composition is perfectly symmetrical, with the gargoyle centered between the vertical lines of the architecture. Soft shadows pool along the base of the walls, showing the stillness of the dry season afternoon. The edge of the altar shows a chip of worn limestone catching the faint ambient glow.
