Low-hanging clouds drift above the open eaves, filtering the pre-dawn sky into a soft, diffuse gray backdrop. The bronze keys reflect the flickering flames, creating sharp highlights that define the curved shapes of the gongs. Shadows stretch long and thin across the worn pavement, anchoring the figures to the ground. One flame trembles on a brass stand near the edge of the frame, its light catching the dust motes suspended in the still air.
