Explorers Cross Flooded Engine Room Plank

Bright midmorning light falls through dense early spring vines, dappling the waterlogged floor of an abandoned engine room. Two figures in dark protective gear balance carefully on a narrow wooden plank spanning the murky floodwater. The corridor walls are choked with green foliage, softening the hard lines of rusted metal machinery submerged beneath the surface. Low-hanging clouds outside cast a diffuse, even glow that highlights the texture of wet concrete and peeling paint. A rectangular opening in the foreground frames the scene, creating a natural border around the crossing team. The water ripples slightly as the plank shifts underfoot, revealing the submerged gears and pipes of the ruined structure.
