Ethiopian Kitfo and Injera on Wooden Platter

Warm sunlight falls through sheer curtains, casting soft, dappled shadows across a rustic wooden platter resting on a simple diner table. The platter holds a mound of minced beef kitfo, its deep red surface glistening with a layer of clarified butter and speckled with black pepper. Surrounding the meat is a folded sheet of injera, its porous, spongy texture visible in the close-up light. The wood grain of the platter runs diagonally, against the pale yellow of the butter. Behind the dish, the background dissolves into a soft blur of warm interior tones, keeping the focus entirely on the food. A small pool of golden butter rests at the edge of the injera, reflecting the late morning light.
