Bright fluorescent light reflects off the polished white marble surface, illuminating a large, round platter of spongy injera bread. Several distinct stews nestle into the crevices of the flatbread, displaying deep reds, vibrant greens, and earthy browns. The spongy texture of the bread shows visible air pockets and a slightly uneven, handcrafted edge. The stews glisten with a thin layer of oil, their colors saturated under the harsh overhead glow. Surrounding the main dish, the marble table remains stark and empty, showing the food without distraction. A small, dark shadow falls across the bottom right corner where the platter meets the stone, at the base of the heavy meal against the cool, smooth surface.
