Eswatini Steppe Floodplain Amber Sunset Reflections

Rich amber light floods the flat expanse of an Eswatini floodplain, turning shallow rain pools into perfect mirrors. Low-hanging clouds hang heavy above the grassy steppe, their soft underbellies catching the dying sun. The ground glistens with wet, dark soil where the water has receded, creating a seamless transition between earth and sky. Tall, dry grasses stand scattered across the foreground, their golden tips illuminated against the deepening shadows. The horizon line splits the frame evenly, doubling the vastness of the midsummer sky in the still water below. A sharp edge of a water droplet clings to a bent stalk of grass at the very bottom right corner.
