Dew on Lotus Seed Pod Honeycomb Holes

Cool morning light spills across a dried lotus seed pod resting on wet, emerald moss. The pod's rigid, tan surface displays a precise grid of hexagonal cavities, each hole dark and deep. Tiny, spherical droplets of monsoon rain rest on the rough, fibrous edges of the seed pockets. The moss beneath is saturated, its green blades flattened by the weight of water, creating a soft, textured bed against the hard geometry of the plant. Reflections shimmer on the damp surfaces, highlighting the intricate structure of the seed housing. One bead of water rests on the rim of the lowest cavity, catching the pale dawn glow.
