Soft first light washes over carved stone surfaces inside the prayer wheel corridor, illuminating the intricate details of a miniature pagoda structure. The sacred object sits beside a shallow pond thick with broad, waxy lotus leaves in various shades of green and brown. Pale, golden illumination from the early morning falls through the space, creating a gentle glow on the wet stone floor. The water surface holds a clear, undistorted reflection of the pagoda's tiers and the surrounding carved pillars. Dry season air leaves the lotus pads crisp and textured against the cool, damp stone. One ripple breaks the mirror-like surface near the edge of the pond, distorting the golden reflection of the pagoda's spire.
