The seed rests across a rain-beaded metal surface, likely a polished tray or table, where droplets of water scatter the early morning brightness. Cool season air leaves the metal cool and reflective, amplifying the tiny highlights on the sphere of water. Negative space surrounds the subject, isolating the delicate structure against the dark, wet sheen of the metal. The dewdrop acts as a lens, distorting the view of the seed head beneath it. A sharp reflection of the seed's edge glows on the adjacent metal plane. The water bead remains suspended, defying gravity with surface tension.
