Sunset light streams through high windows, casting long pools of amber and crimson across a debris-strewn floor beneath a painted synagogue ceiling. Fragments of stained glass lie scattered in the center, their vibrant blues and reds catching the fading daylight. The monsoon season has left damp patches on the stone, reflecting the warm glow of lamplight that settles softly into the shadowed corners. A perfect symmetrical composition frames the space, highlighting the contrast between the ornate, peeling ceiling art and the broken shards below. Dust motes hang suspended in the beams, settling over the cracked tiles. at the edge is a shard of cobalt glass resting directly against a damp, gray stone ledge, mirroring the sky outside.
