Chongqing Butcher Door Steam Rain Night

Rain-slicked concrete walls of a Chongqing back alley reflect faint ground glow beneath an elevated train line. A heavy steel delivery door, marked with faded red characters, exhales thick white steam into the dead of winter air. Above the door, a narrow crack in the masonry defies physics as a clear waterfall cascades downward, merging with the wet pavement without any visible source or plumbing. The water flows over grates that release additional vapor, creating a layered mist against the dark steel.
