Deep shadows swallow the foreground of a glass-calm lake near Macarena, Seville, where a canoe cuts a sharp diagonal line through the water. Early autumn mist clings low to the surface, softening the distant harbor mouth while dramatic clouds stack heavily above. A thin rim of fading twilight light traces the curved gunwale and the rower's silhouette, separating them from the dark water. The paddle blade emerges from the stillness, creating a faint ripple that disrupts the mirror-like surface. Heavy fabric on the distant shore suggests the chill of the season. The diagonal angle of the boat forces clear movement against the static, fogbound backdrop.
