Steel-blue ambient light washes over the wet deck of a sailboat navigating a ferry crossing near Luanda. Rain streaks vertically through the air, blurring the horizon where the city begins to glow with distant orange and white lamps. Two white sails extend symmetrically on opposite sides, caught in the steady trade winds that ripple the dark water. Reflections of the sails and the faint city lights create a sharp mirrored composition on the rain-slicked surface of the sea. The wet canvas of the sails holds a deep, saturated blue tone, against the bright white patches of foam. Droplets rest on the rigging lines, catching the fading natural light. at the edge is the precise reflection of the port sail perfectly aligned with its counterpart on the starboard side.
